BPA recognizes the importance of basic education for the children of school going age in the community and thus have established a three classroom nursery block for the resettlement community. |

The relatively large number of children below the age of four years informed the decision of Bui Power Authority to build the nursery at the Jama Resettlement Camp. The nursery will ultimately prepare the children for a bright future. The immediate advantage however of the nursery is that the mothers of these children can be free to farm when their children are in school. |

The community center is located in the middle of the Resettlement Camp and has since, served a number of purposes such as a venue for community meetings, and also for recreational activities |

The Black Volta river served as the source of drinking water for the four villages (Brewohodi, Dam Site, Agbegikuro and Lucene) prior to their resettlement to Jama resettlement camp. BPA contracted SAMJUST ENGINEERING COMPANY to drill two hand pump boreholes for the 42 households at the Jama Resettlement Camp.
