The Accra Based Team of BPA pays an official visit to the Bui Project Site

At the Dam construction site area, Mr. Kissi summarized the ongoing works there. He said that currently, the main work is on the River Diversion, however, before that the Bed of the new water channel had to be prepared to ensure that the water do not penetrate the bed and drain away. So a concrete bed was being created and added that, this part of the work was part of the permanent works on construction of the Dam.

Site Engineer, Mr Safo Kissi delivering a brief lecture on current works at the dam construction site.

The Site Engineer also mentioned the problems currently being faced with the River Diversion Channel Bed preparation; that because it rains almost every other day, workers always have to get rid of the water back into the river and clean the surface of the bed again and again and added that this exercise had gone on for the past one month. In fact, this was what the workers were doing at the time of the team's visit.

The trip was an eye opener for the Accra based staff to gain a better understanding of the ongoing Bui Project, providing practical familiarity knowledge as well as creating an opportunity for interaction between the Accra office and team members on site, in order to foster team work and to enable equal levels of understanding about the project and individual  responsibilities.
